Hess, Troy - Don't go topless mother

I know this one a long time but heard it 'walking' through my files today again.
It's just something like my first post. Dirty, but somekind a funny.

It sounds like end 50's but it's maybe end 60's or even later.
Does someone has an answer ?

My next post will be end this week (I have to work ...).
Will be either Harry Nilsson or GP (not Gene Pitney but Gram Parsons ....)

Edit 2007_04_06.
The old Rapidshare.de link has expired. I decided to re-upload this again.
But note, this time I added DreamTime Podcast episode 29_Info behind Troy Hess.
Dreamtime is so well know by Bob Dylan's radio shows on XM radio, so this is really worth to listen to.

Comments:
Hello Jean.
For me the real GP is the one that got away to early : Gram Parsons. He should have been singing duets with Emmylou still.
Thanks for sharing your music with us!

Hi teacher (rings another bell of the goold old days a very very very long time ago...) I agree with ya.

Do you kown Emmy made after 5-7 years an album with Mark Knopfer which will be available 2006_04_24 (so in four days)

Saying this here is the link (ha ha) :

Have to admit it is for me a little disappointing. Nice album, for sure, but not the Emmy I like so much ! Sqme goes for Mark Knopfler.

She's coming to my country in june for a one time appearance. Was thinking of going but there are only 'the minor places' for sale anymore.

Do you have some special Emmylou to share with us ? I'm so devoted to her !
I will be glad to make them available for everyone.
Do you have BLog of your own ?

Greetings

Oeff, forgot the link I found elsewhere.

Sorry.

Hi Jean,
just an info to the posted "Please don't go topless, mother". Troy Hess performed since the age of 2 years! Sounds for me like mid to end-fifties. For the bio of Troy who is actually still performing with his band "The Zebra Three" look here:

Greetings,
harpo
PS Keep up the good work

Hi Anonymous.
Have been on that site. But there's also no info about this song. Can't find it elsewhere. I'm just curious.

Have some more of this kind of songs.
We must see the content in that time. What is now 'normal' was in those days 'a problem'.
Have eg some songs from a girl band end 1945 in which they admit they're lesbian. To me (I luckily live in a liberal country !) that is fantastic (especially in those days !).

Will post from time to time.

Hi Jean,
me again witch news about Troy and his song "Please ...".
Seems like he recorded that "topless" thing in the early seventies.
Found that:
http://www.ubu.com/outsiders/365/03-1.html
(You gotta scroll down to entry march4 #63: Troy recorded "Christmas on the Moon" in 1970 at the age of 4! (America's singing souvenir))
and that:
http://www.ratso.net/letters.html
(You gotta scroll down to the entry July 23, 2001: Troy Hess himself writes
"... a song, i recorded in the 70’s ...")
I think that's it...
BTW: An interesting bio of Troy's father, Bennie Hess, can be found here:
http://www.rockabilly.nl/references/messages/bennie_hess.htm

Hope, all this is interesting for you...
Greetings,
harpo

Hello Everyone,

Zebrathree.com is the site I put up for my husband & Toys band. I've put the site back up as people have been asking for more info on Troy again. The site is at Zebrathree.net. On the contact page you can send Troy an email and ask him whatever questions you have about his songs from long ago.
