As usual tonight is Popcorn evening !

This saturday it's again mister 'mellow Popcorn' Theo Dumoulin with his show on Laser Radio.

My personal guess is this time the show is called Prisoner of love because prison is a man gets in when he falls in love .... :-)
On the other hand I have a little (anti female) joke.
What's wrong when a woman comes out of the kitchen into the living room ?
Answer : the chain is too short ... :-)
Sorry ladies.
Seriously, of course Theo called it this time after track 16-Emilhenco - Prisonnier de l'amour, a song I've never heard (of).
Or am I right after all ?

So this will be a surprise to me as is of course Theo's whole show.

Take a look at the playlist Prisoner of love. Nice songs like
03-Breedlove, Jimmy - I say hello
13-Day, Bobby - King's highway
17-Clark, Petula - Plaza de toros (The lonely bull)
23-Cleftones - Some kinda blue
35-Nicodemus & Mudies All Stars - Old veteran

A lot of those original old vinyl records are very rare and by so very expensive.
Lot of dj's (in those good old days) did put a sticker over the record to try to prevent them from stealing. So from time to time Theo discovers one about which no info can be found anymore.
Such songs seems to be
18-Unknown Artist - A very happy man eternally
20-Unknown Artist - Please Mr River keep on moving
I hope one of you old/new listeners have an answer.
So JOIN (just click this to attend live !) us at 20 hrs local time (when the Popcorn counter on the left goes to zero !) to have again some wonderful oldies to listen to.
If you know these songs please post your suggestion/answer in the comments.

When Theo's show stops at 22 hours local time stay tuned because Gudo Leuven has also some great tunes to listen to. You will not regret that !!

Track 16 on the playlist is miss Toni Fisher. Wasn't she the first one who made a so called 'phase' record ? Theo will tell all about that I assume.

Here I present you, amongst some others, three versions of her 59'er The big hurt. A rough cut demo, the original 45 master single and a re-issue with overdubbed echo ; all in true stereo.
Her 365 Disappointments (year 1963) is worth to listen to. But my favorite is West of the wall (with a very interesting story 'behind' it...).

Comments, comments, comments....
I placed one myself. Why don't you do it also if you look over there ?

EDIT Sunday.
Again the chat room proved it's quality !
While playing the song 18-Unknown Artist - A very happy man eternally the answer was given by Raoul, Werner and 'Cardiac Jos^' : 'Cords - To be loved' ! These guy's must have good brains (and know how to use them ..).

I love Tony Fisher esp West of Th Wall, Big Hurt was first hit using phazing!

I love both those records by Toni Fisher (note the spelling btw), "The Big Hurt" and "West of the Wall."

west of the wall / that soon will fall ...

Tragically it did not fall "soon"--but it did fall. However, the ideas that erected it remain. We can only hope.

Thanks for shared

Greetings from Belgium
