Quitting this BLog ?
I have lived all my life for others.
A simple quote.
Went to the kindergarden. Worked since I was 14. Earned my own money to study.
Graduated university without a debt.
Wanted a job to see something of the world and with small/no responsability.
Got a job with great responsability.
Born as a penny but became a dime. But am I a dime ?
Worked for my wife and children. If I could have a meal was enough.
Started this BLog for personal use april 2306. Wanted to learn about this new thing.
Use a visitor counter since july 2006.
Have today over 40.000 visitors. Man, am I proud ! Wasn't my intention but never thought I could reach that number.
Always thought our (your !!) children were not 'deep thinking'. I mean superficial.
So have done this BLog almost 8 months.
As I said for personal use. My personal diary which you can read.
In my header I write discussing.
I write. Almost no response.
Posted 2 weeks ago the Paris Sisters. Just saw 75 downloads but only one 1 rsponse.
Are you elderly the same as the youngsters ? Take, take, take and give a damn to the rest. Selfish.
So I am more and more thinking about quitting my BLog at the end of this year.
Just my two cents.

Jean,
Before i started my own blog i knew that i couldn't expect a lot of comments etc. 99% of the people who visit sites just pick up what they want and that's it. They don't realise that us website builders and bloggers put a lot of energy and time (Especially if recording music and scanning pics is involved) into it.
For me personally i like a bit of feedback but i stopped waiting for it.
But i'll keep continue.
Jean please continue, you do a great job and have good musical taste.

How many lepers did Jesus cleanse and how many thanked him? This Christmas, I give you what I think is the spirit of blogging.
It is creating a diary and a musical scrapbook for yourself and your enjoyment, which may touch others, too. Don't do it for glory. Don't do it for free Rapidshare points. Don't do it because you think music should be free or that people can't get enough music without downloading everything. If you think Hans is a happy man, he is not. If he was he'd have a simple blog and not be driven by spite, anger, rage, arrogance and malice to be Blogfather and Bully to the music world.
How many church bells in the steeple, Jean? Enough. Enough for a simple melody. Hans will never understand that.
Jesus did not ask for thanks. Nor did he set up "Heal-a-Leper" with a sign saying "One Million Healed." He was about quality not quantity in life.
Blog if it amuses you, like some sit and knit in solitude. If even ONE comment comes through, that's a bonus.
We are getting old. Some get old and bitter and angry, like Hans. Others become more gentle, giving and even forgiving.
This isn't a business it is a hobby. At least that is how we should all view this type of blogging.
If you want to continue your scrapbook of musical memories, and a diary of things you want to say, it should be meaningful to you, first and foremost. If you are just doing it to watch record stores go under, eBay sellers whither, and a few dozen strangers say "Thanks, can't wait for more," then that's just not reason to do it.

I'm not into getting a lot of RS points/downloads which may give me a free month after one year.
I can afford the Euro 5. It's also not worth my writing efforts/time. Simple fact.
I like to learn about internet.
I like to learn about HTML in a childish way to change the looks of my BLog.
It's indeed a way of expressing my thoughts. Music is the title. Could have been stamps.
But I don't know anything about stamps. Most viewers will not.
So there's nothing to talk about.
I don't asked for 20 comments like "Thanks, can't wait for more".
But it would be very nice if people who download for instance the Paris Sisters (as an example) will write why they love these more/less than the Chordettes or give more info/background or a personal story about them.
