Shocking Blue_Mariska Veres - Venus
I remember a vacation with my soccer friends in Spain early 70's. How we enjoyed girls, drugs and r'n'roll in Lloret del Mar.
In the discotheques great songs like CCR - Proud Mary were played but also Shocking Blue's Venus, written by Robbie van Leeuwen (gitarist on the left) and sung by that good looking Mariska Veres. When you look at this YouTube clip you'll understand why all the guys were in love with her. She was sooo cute.
But in life we don't keep our youth and Mariska sadly died last saturday of cancer.
Here's my memorie of her.
