On this day 1939 : Flaco Jimenez
Flaco Jimenez (The Texas Tornadoes) turns 68 today.Well known because of Tex-mex music.
Made great albums by himself but also accompanied a lot of other great artists.
A very nice album from Jimenez, who's attracted attention as part of the Texas Tornados recently. He collaborates with an interesting variety of vocalists, as well as Los Lobos, producing an album filled with heart and warm energy, centered on the conjunto style and Jimenez's accordion work. Indeed good stuff.
Stephen Stills, Ry Cooder and of course Emmylou Harris are just a few famous names which you can enjoy when you follow me to the comment section.

was a nice concert in the music hall Vredenburg in Utecht with Ry Cooder. glad you ingoyed it.
but in July they gonne start bracking the Vredenburg down. So that in 2011 we will have a Music Centre with 6 halls, for avery kind of music there will be one. It's called "the Music palace" or in Duch: het Muziekpaleis.
