Radio Veronica : 'Pirate off shore radio station'

One of the first was Dutch Radio Veronica. The name was taken from VRON (translated : Free Radio Company Netherlands), the vessel was the Norderney.
(Co-)Founders/sharehoulders were the brothers Verwey ("Uncle Bull", this posting is dedicated to you ...) from Hilversum who had a discount shop Televersum over there. Famous became the jingles who were made just to promote their own shop/stuff....
They were one of the first who introduced parallel import .... :-)
Radio Caroline, Radio Mi Amigo, Radio North Sea International, Lord Sutch are also familiar names.
A European law introduced in 1974 stated those pirate stations illegal and so they had to stop broadcasting. Radio Veronica stopped 1974_08_31.
Nowadays from time to time there are efforts to kinda revive those days, but in a modern way.
Laser Radio is such an example. Famous Dutch technician Ad Bouman is one of the founders. He and some others also founded a kinda Veronica museum called Norderney.
Next saturday there will be a meeting again in the old Lapershoek studios in Hilversum Holland.
Of course I will be present again. Looking forward to meet again friends since 40 years. Those were the days (my friend).
I must own all of the original Veronica Sonovox jingles.
I must have all (or a lot/most) of the original midwave commercials.
At least four times a week I listen to a complete hour of those 60's years.
Do you comment ?
Radio Veronica, like Radio Caroline & Radio London, was the only way to escape from "national radio" from France. National radio means "offcial radio", that means boring music, only for 40-60 years old, and even if now I am 40 years old, I wasn't at this time !
Can you upload your fantastic collection like Radio Caroline on Lost In Tyme blogspot? since I have, I listen to it over and over. It's a kind of revange, isn't it ?
Thank again for all your great vynils.
