Today 1957 Alan Freed's movie Mr Rock 'n Roll premiered

Just info, no download....

Today exactly fifty years ago Alan Freed's movie "Mr. Rock 'n Roll", featuring Chuck Berry, LaVern Baker, Frankie Lymon and Little Richard, among a lot of others, premiered in New York.

Great black and white movie, so I'll watch it tonight again.

Some other noteworthy info : same year, even the same day !
1957 - The Little Rock Nine are enrolled at Little Rock's Central High School after public protests and the Arkansas National Guard, under the direction of Governor Orval Faubus, prevents their first attempt at enrollment. President Eisenhower dispatches the federal 101st Airborne Division troops to ensure the students' safety and enforce their right to attend school. These events are collectively referred to as the Crisis at Central High.
Same day a year later (1958) all three public High Schools in Little Rock are closed for one year by Governor Faubus.

Yeah remember those events so well. Already exactly 50 years ago, but it seems like yesterday.
It's not perfect nowadays (far from that) but it's (a little) better.

Just noticed my writing Great black and white movie.......
A simple 'deeper thought' : we can't get along without each other !
