Today 1943 Brian Hyland was born

Today is the birthday of Booker T Jones (born 1944). I wrote about him earlier, so check my archives 2007_September_23 or 2006_October_02 or 2006_April_14.

Today we also celebrate the birthday of Brian Hyland. Two of the many differences between Brian Hyland and yours truly is that I am retired and he isn't but that I can't sing and he surely can !
So here are some of my personal favorites of Brian Hyland.

13-Schön war die Zeit (Sealed With A Kiss)
14-Weil Du Die Puppe Bist (Summer Job)
15-Ginny, O Ginny (Ginny Come Lately)
16-Du Bist Mir Unvergesslich (I Should Be Getting Better)

He made so many nice songs I could easily make up a cd 3 or 4 but this is enough for ya.
Lop-Sided, Over-Loaded (And It Wiggled When We Rode It) and Baby face can be considered as Popcorn songs.
Note that So long Marianne is the famous Leonard Cohen song. It's a little 'out of order' here (it's from 1971 and rest is beginning sixties) but it is such a nice version I hád to add it.
As a kinda extra bonus there are two of his hits in German as well as their b-sides.

My favourite Bryan Hyland song is "I'm afriad to go home".
Obscure - yes, but it's a classic and must be one of the most underrated songs of all time....
