Bobby Helms rocks the Jingle Bell
Continuing my sunday serie of lesser known/unknown Christmas records from the past, here's Bobby Helms.
Though his name is unfamiliar to most, Bobby Helms rules the airwaves every year around December 25th. His single Jingle Bell Rock first became a hit in 1957 (though Decca released it only two days before Christmas, the single still peaked at number six on the pop chart), and it reappeared on the charts four of the following five years to become an all-time Christmas classic.
The years before Bobby Helms had a successful country career with two number one hits to his credit (Fraulein & My Special Angel).
Helms, Bobby - Jingle Bell Rock _1957
01-Jingle Bell Rock
02-Here Comes Santa Claus
03-White Christmas
04-Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
05-Jingle Bells
06-Winter Wonderland
07-Silver Bells
08-I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
09-Christmas Time In My Home Town
10-Santa Claus is Coming To Town

Note : full screen window gives you the best view of the comments !
'Clickable' links are for you downloaders soooo convienent but the disadvantage is they don't seem to 'last' long.
The Blogger gets a lot of comments 'please re-up'...... Other, more appropriate/interesting comments, they don't get.... :(
So you will have to do a little work to get the link.
This seems, in my opinion, the best deal between 'protecting' my links and the least effort for you.
