Rockabilly Top20 2007_12_13

No special events today. No interesting birthdays or sad deaths. So I prepared an article about how to take care of your vinyl records but I was listening and recording last night some fine Rockabilly compilation albums. I'll keep that article for the future and instead here's my first Rockabilly top20. Well, not actually a top20, even a top40..... : over 90 minutes listening pleasure !

Great names and songs don't you agree ? Sorry to admit some have a little crackle noise. In my opinion it gives a more authentic feeling so kept it.
Lemmie know what you think of this compilation (which is of course a little bit bigger than usual...) in the comment section.

Note : full screen window gives you the best view of the comments !

'Clickable' links are for you downloaders soooo convienent but the disadvantage is they don't seem to 'last' long.
The Blogger gets a lot of comments 'please re-up'...... Other, more appropriate/interesting comments, they don't get.... :(
So you will have to do a little work to get the link.
This seems, in my opinion, the best deal between 'protecting' my links and the least effort for you.

Link : http://r#pidsh#re.com/files/76188413/Rockabilly_Top40_2007_12_13.rar
Of course you understand to replace in r#pidsh#re twice the # in an a otherwise you don't have a 'valid' link !!
Paste this valid link in your browser-url and hit RETURN. You can also copy/paste the link into your 'downloadmanager'.

Well, that wasn't difficult, was it ? Now your download takes some time.
Think about the efforts/time a good Blogger (I hope I am) spends to compile a nice offer, uploading it to a server, making a background article.
For this one I needed over two hours !
Shouldn't you, while simply waiting for the download to finish, give some remarks why you want this particular 'share' ?
Of course you should and you will if you are just a littlebit grateful.

Pass to extract this file : 071213
This file is a small 90MB, 'cause the songs are only in 128kbits

I completely understand your feelings. I have a music blog too and I doubt that even 1/2 of one percent of the downloaders ever bother to leave a comment. Very frustrating I know. And lord knows how much work it is to compile these compilations, and post 'em and then hear nuthin! We thank you for the hard work! I was seraching google blogs for Rosie Flores,,,and well here I am!
Thanks again!

I think I am in love with your blog! THANKYOU for sharing all this beautiful music..Love and thanks from Australia X

Dear Jean!

I found your blog by searching the complete buddy holly by purple chicken, as my brother is a hardcore beatles fan and they publish a lot of beatles things, but he knows I'm into buddy holly and rock'n'roll so he told me to search for these (you know I own the four disc-set of vigotone, but I wasn't aware that there was so much other things available - thank you sooo much for posting this, but I have to tell you one thing: Your compilations are beautiful - keep your blog alive!!!
Regards Greg

Hi Greg, yes we all have our 'tics'... Your brother The Beatles, me the Rolling Stones. We are so lucky to have experienced that time ourselves. Music, political, economical. A remarkable period those 50's and 60's.

I had that Buddy Holly 4LP set also, but after I got a 6LP set I gave the 4LP set away to a girl although knowing it had 4 tracks that weren't on the 6LP set. All for the women... but I never saw her again....
Earlier on my Blog I offered LP 1 of that set but those songs are included in this Purple Chick set.

I like to make the compilations, still have about 500 'in stock'. I do a lot of research about particular songs and by so I always discover 'new' songs in my collection.. But it takes sooo much time...

I'm just on your blog since about 10 AM and it's now 2PM, reading, listening an almost crying as what I see and listen is beautiful !
About this Rockabilly session, I'm impatient to listen some name I've never heard about (Kim Lenz, Joyce Pointer...).I predict good surprises.
Thanks a lot jean, you're blog is a magic place.
