Mother's day 2008_05_11

Tomorrow is again mother's day and in remembrance to my own mother I decided to make a compilation of oldies again. In my personal opinion I succeeded to compile a wide variety of songstyles a capella, doo-wop, ska/reggae, blues, normal oldies and (of course) Popcorn.
Starting with Mother Sure Was Right & Why Didn't I Listen To Mother and ending with Your Wife And Mother.
Johnny Preston - Madre de Dios (Mother of God) is a littlebit out of order but I hád to include it. As a kinda bonus I added one of my first postings, the much searched Troy Hess - Please Don't Go Topless, Mother.

I just wonder how many of these songs you will have...
So quickly go to the comments, download this one and burn a cd-r. Instead of the usual gifts like sweets or 'neccesary' things for the (her..??..) household or just a bunch of flowers you can give her an hour of musical ode to mommie !

Note : full screen window gives you the best view of the comments !

'Clickable' links are for you downloaders soooo convienent but the disadvantage is they don't seem to 'last' long.
The Blogger gets a lot of comments 'please re-up'...... Other, more appropriate/interesting comments, they sadly don't get.... :(
So you will have to do a little work to get the link.
This seems, in my opinion, the best deal between 'protecting' my links and the least effort for you.

Link :
Of course you understand to replace in r#pidsh#re twice the # in an a otherwise you don't have a 'valid' link !!
Paste this valid link in your browser-url and hit RETURN. You can also copy/paste the link into your 'downloadmanager'.

Pass to extract the file : 080510
The file is a small 50MB, 'cause the songs are only in low bitrate 128kbits.
Please donnut give a nasty comment about that.

The next depends, amongst other things, on your security options in your browser and by so the ability to copy/paste the link.

When you see this in Google or Yahoo cache or by my Blog's search function read first the RED instructions at the top left of my Blog !
Direct link (after that go to the plain comment of this 2008_may article !) : JeansMusicBlog
Also possible : just click the 'post a comment' section here and you are able to copy/paste !
Hey Jean - greetings from Western Australia - If there was a way I could get a file to you, I'd send you a pic and some text I wrote about please don't go topless.

To everyone.
Check any Bloggers profile by clicking somewhere at the top his info and sometimes, as is the case with me, you can see a way to mail the Blogger.

Somewhere in my end teens I wanted to emigrate to Australia and so I will be special helpful to this 'Aussi downyonder' :
Thanks for your appreciation for "our" Mothers.......

Jean do you have Pat Thomas - My Mother's Eyes....

I have the Big Maybelle Version...

Do you want a listen???

I have the Connie Francis version as is in this post. Also the versions by Big Maybelle, Clovers and Four Lovers.

Do not know Pat Thomas. Have only her Where There's Love There's Hope on various compilation albums. That is a nice song.

So I would appreciate sending it to my mail (see above).
