Veronica_Lex Harding & Ad Bouman - ABTT
Number five, picked from my old offshore radio archives, of radio Veronica broadcasts is by DJ Lex Harding & technician Ad Bouman.
The show is called Lexjo ('Lex show'...) with sub-title ABTT (Ad Bouman Top Ten).
What a mess this program always was....

It was the week after a Veronica party at the Pier in Scheveningen_The Hague. Lex announces this program as an 'ABTT new style'.
A lot of guest are present. Sieb Kroeske, Jan Bult (record plugger), Tineke de Nooij, Jos Hogen and Juul Geleick.
Juul Geleick tells how he and Ad went to Amsterdam.... But the story ends into ... nothing !
Ad Bouman and Lex Harding are quarreling. Ad even says : "I'll hit you in the face'...! Of course they are joking, which the whole program always was.
There was at the time an Ad Bouman fanclub. Sieb tells about missing money from the fanclub... Lol...
This particulair tape was lost for years but Sieb did found it on his attic...

Why this particular broadcast ?
This studio recording is from 1973_october_08, exactly 35 years old..
After the closure of off-shore Radio Veronica Ad Bouman worked later on for years for public Radio Veronica.
After a Veronica reunion in 1999 in Lapershoek in Hilversum (see Lex and Ad at the left picture in 1974 and 1999....) Ad Bouman and Michael Bakker started Radio192.
On Radio192 Theo Dumoulin started in 2001_october_06 his Popcorn program (see tomorrow).
After Radio192's deficit Ad Bouman started Laser radio 2 years ago.
Sieb Kroeske was a leading factor of Laser radio but sadly left recently. Sieb was the chairman of the Ad Bouman fanclub in them seventees.
When Theo Dumoulin does his Popcorn show tomorrow at least 2 AB-fanclubmembers will be present in the chatroom...
Well enough reasons for those who remember them times to pick this broadcast I think.
