Suppose all the downloaders of this serie will comment at last.......

Comments:
Note : full screen window gives you the best view of the comments !

You will have to do a little work to get the link.
'Clickable' links are for you downloaders soooo convienant but the disadvantage is they don't seem to 'last' long.
The Blogger gets a lot of comments 'please re-up'...... Other, more appropriate/interesting comments, they sadly don't get... :(
This seems, in my opinion, the best deal between 'protecting' my links and the least effort for you.

Link :
http://r#pidsh#re.com/files/218607074/C-64_JH_WHK_Cleveland.rar
Of course you understand to replace in r#pidsh#re twice the # in an a otherwise you don't have a 'valid' link !!
Paste this valid link in your browser-url and hit RETURN. You can also copy/paste the link into your 'downloadmanager'.

Pass to extract the file : 090407
The file is a small 40MB, 'cause the songs are only in very low bitrate 128kbits.
Please donnut give a nasty comment about that : check 'My opinion about bitrates' on 2008_jan_25.

>>
The next depends, amongst other things, on your security options in your browser and by so the ability to copy/paste the link.
When you see this in Google or Yahoo cache or by my Blog's search function read first the RED instructions at the top left of my Blog !
Direct link (after that go to the plain comment of this 2009_april article !) : JeansMusicBlog
Also possible : just click the 'post a comment' section here and you are able to copy/paste !

....And while you are there you might as well give a comment yourself....

Thank you very much for the last volume in this series. This series has brought back many good memories of the past for me. Jean, we will miss you, your commentary, and your willingness to share. Best of luck to you in whatever you decide to do next.

1964 from just up the road from me (oh, about 130 miles or so) in Cleveland. Not much national radio then...we probably had Paul Harvey, but no music shows. WCOL was our big rock station...now its one of the lowest rated stations in town doing talk-sports. They called themselves the new WCOL for almost 10 years.
Thank you so much, Jean, for allowing us to complete the set. I am so glad to have them in my collection. Hard to believe DANG ME was ever a hit! I thought Kahn's Weiners were local to Cincinnati..nice to see them here.

Best of luck from one retiree to another!!!!

Dear Jean, thank you for making the series complete. These downloads are very precious to me. The first time I came across the Cruisin' series, was when I was a teenager of 14 and I found Cruisin' 1957 in the sales bin of my local record store. It was the beginning of my fascination for USA rock and roll radio. At that time, I didn't have the money to collect the whole series, so now, after all these years, I'm 'happy as a lark' (a quote from Joe Niagara) I can listen to all the volumes on my computer.

Well urr..um..you are still the BEST! I was able to tell a friend the other day...hey go check out Jeans Music Blog, ..it's simply amazing. Thanks.

Thank you so much for keeping your promise to complete the Cruisin' series. I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog, although I'm still not absolutely sure about what makes an oldie a "popcorn oldie".
Best wishes for a long and happy retirement.

I got my first Cruisin' LP in the cut-out bin at the drug store back in the early 70's for 2 bucks. I believe it was the Joe Niagara edition? '57?

Anyway, it's always been difficult to find the complete series anywhere, thank you for sharing this great stuff!

Thank you for sharing!!

thanks for the opportunity to hear this music.. i grew up in Cleveland, 1964 being a year before I was born. WHK later in the 1970's and 80's ahared studios with FM 100.7 (101 FM) WMMS. Both stations in their respective times dominating the Cleveland airwaves were instrumental in helping bring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to C-town. I just got done reading a book called The Buzzard by John Gorman, station manager at WMMS during their hey day. Excellent reading. Again thank you for your site and the WHK post.

wow! your blod is a goldmine. thank you for the memories
